This is a roofing tack:
I found this roofing tack in my shoe. The pointy end came up between two toes.I discovered it in my shoe, after wondering why one foot felt a bit odd. It wasn’t the foot, but the sharp pointy end of the tack, which had found it way through the bottom of my shoe and come up between two toes.
Aside from some rust scraped on my toes, a hole in my sock, and a hole in my shoe, there was no damage. Just the same, I checked when I’d last had a tetanus shot.
