Patterns of the Fantastic II
is a volume of essays and papers presented in the scholarly track of the World Science Fiction Convention held in Baltimore, Maryland, in 1983. I was in the process of moving to Japan a the time, and my brother Ian presented my paper. Donald Hassler, the organizer of the track and editor of the volume, sent me a very nice letter complimenting my brother on the excellent presentation.
It was easier to scan and OCR (convert to text via Optical Character Recognition) the original manuscript than to scan the book. And yes, it has a lot of footnotes.
