Mother and fawn

Mother and one of her two twins walking through the neighborhood. The other twin — slightly smaller, but much more adventuresome — dashed under the tree on the right, chasing a bird. Deer don’t normally chase birds, and the bird in question did seem a bit miffed, but even a small fawn is way too much mass for a bird to resist.

You wouldn’t think aggressive curiosity would be a good trait in a fawn, but the mother seemed content to have at least one obedient child.
