  • You can clearly see the balcony of the Hirshhorn on the right side. "Song 1" at this point shows images of people in a laboratory, cut off from the world but thinking about others.

  • The Washington Monument by night. The red lights at the top are either a sign of a secret government conspiratorial cult or -- far less likely -- aircraft warning lights.

  • The Smithsonian Castle. It really isn't a castle (for one thing, it isn't fortified), but the pseudo-Norman style with Gothic and Romanesque touches makes it look more like a castle than anything else in Washington.

  • The Capitol. Neither house is in session (which is about normal) and the Statue of Freedom at the top of the dome is covered. This is not normal.
