Head of the cutlery dragon, made entirely of Sheffield cutlery. (Silver plating was invented in Sheffield.) Among other things, the dragon moves, and makes sounds. It is a clever tribute to the city's history. Even today, Sheffield has a virtual monopoly on English cutlery, though the iron and steel mines and mills have closed. © 2005 Lawrence I. Charters
