Paris in January still has Christmas decorations up. Paris is often thought of as a warm, vibrant city, full of green parks and fashionably dressed people. But in the winter the cold and wind reminds you that it is part of Europe, and Europe in the winter has bare trees and modest crowds dressed in heavy, dull clothing.
