Grand Tetons National Park
Southwest of Yellowstone National Park is the Grand Tetons National Park, created in 1929. The 480 square mile park includes the Teton Range and Jackson Hole. Jackosn Hole valley was a later addition, the result of an effort by John D. Rockeffeller, Jr., to buy up private land, and then pressure the government to take ownership and add it to the park in 1950. 20041011 Lawrence I. Charters
