Glasgow Cathedral, dedicated to St. Mungo, patron saint of Glasgow. Not a thing is known for certain about St. Mungo aside from the fact that he died in 603. His relics are buried in a crypt under the cathedral. While the oldest parts of the church may date back that far, the current cathedral was first consecrated in 1197. © 2004 Lawrence I. Charters |
