Right outside the Amsterdam Central Station is a canal and mini-harbor. Along the harbor are several stands offering tours of the city through long, low, glassed-in canal boats. These are mostly named for noteworthy historic figures in the arts and sciences. This boat is named for one of the youngest, and most tragic. Scanned from a photographic print. © 1997 Lawrence I.
